Welcome to Johanna and Ryan's Wedding Pottery Registry!

In November, we visited our friend and favorite potter, Carter Gillies, at his home studio in Athens, GA.  We met Carter through friends in Athens, and over the years we have purchased a fair amount of his work for ourselves, and given it as gifts to friends and family throughout the country.  Carter makes beautiful, functional art, such as mugs that 'fit just right' in your hand, and bowls with a characteristic dimple on the side.

When we visited Carter he showed us his newly thrown pottery before it had been glazed, and allowed us to pick out new bowls, plates, mugs, and serving pieces to add to our collection and select the glaze for each one.  We are thrilled to add these artistic and functional pieces to our home.

 

 

 

To avoid shipping costs and possible damage during shipping, we have asked Carter to hold the purchased pottery for us to pickup at his studio.
